"Latina women are not smart enough to be psychologists." Jenny was discouraged by her high school counselor to even attend college. 

Her personal journey is a story of hurdling overt and covert racism in addition to sexism to earn her professional status. Jenny's education and training path took her from Colombia, South America to California via Texas.

She is fluently bilingual (oral and written) in English and Spanish. She is a bi-cultural Latina / Hispanic having been born in Colombia, South America. She possesses extensive experience working with adolescents in school and outpatient settings. Being a mother of two young men grounds her practice in reality. For the last several years, Jenny has been conducting forensic psychological evaluations for San Mateo County Juvenile Court. She has also completed private evaluations for Lifers in prison coming up for parole. She also supervises practicum and predoctoral students. Her interests include psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, working with adults and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, anger management issues and conduct disorders.

Jenny is a member of American Psychological Association (APA), National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), Hispanic Neuropsychological Society (HNS), and Northern California Neuropsychology Forum (NCNF).
